Population Snapshots
The Population Snapshot is a quarterly analytical report produced by Building Tasmania's Population and Partnerships team.
It primarily draws on the Australian Bureau of Statistics’ (ABS) quarterly National, state and territory population publication to monitor Tasmania’s population growth and demographic profile. Additional sources – including Tasmania’s Local Government Area Population Projections, and data from the Centre for Population - are also used to inform additional, thematic insights.
Note: The Population Snapshot reflects data at the time of publication. ABS population figures may change over time as estimates are updated using new Census and migration data.
